| Meet Freddie Kenton: He is a Pisces born on March 5. This year he celebrated 30 years in his entertainment career. He began in the Dominican Republic as a balladist At the young age of 17 he joined Johnny Ventura's band, then he joined Tito Rodriguez's trumpet player, Rafael Lobasta. He moved to New York and became lead vocalist. His first recording was with Combo Records, he recorded 3 LP's. He then again moved back to the Dominican Republic where he created the band Bonny with Kenton brothers, began touring internationally under Karen Records with hits "Borinquen y Quisquella" and Los "Melones". He became independent and then began his soloist career with his band in Puerto Rico filming with TH Records, he lived in Puerto Rico for 15 years, his second homeland. Finishing his contract with TH Records, then he created his own label "Heavy Records" with 5 recordings internationally : Europe, South and Central America. Memories of Chicago in his first presentation at The Aragon was the city he decided to settle down in making his own band. Today he is the lead singer of Mambo 7 and other local Chicago bands. Mambo 7 has been together for about 10 years touring through United States. He wants to thank Chicago supporters and the media for the support.
